I love the little exchange between Serge and the guitar player around 1:19 and the way the almost caresses the keys at the end before he withdraws his hand from the keyboard.

I can see why Jane Birkin married him. ; )

I agree. To say it's creepy is an understatement.

I'm a bit puzzled though; I know he had an rough early life considering he was a Russian Jew living in Nazi occupied France and was a frustrated painter, but why the total emotional collapse into alcohol and smoking? He looks so vibrant and almost jubilant in this clip. What happened?
